Homer after the storm

Last night there was a huge storm here with very high winds. There was lots of noise out in the garden, which I thought might be cat intruders at first, so I was keen to go out and bark at them. Then I realised there was no-one there and it was just the wind. When I went out for my usual walk down the valley there were lots of trees that had blown over. Here is a picture of me inspecting one of them.

Homer's Christmas

I haven't done a blog post since Halloween, as there has been nothing much to report. But then there was Christmas! I managed to find a bag with my Christmas presents in, and take them out and rip into them while no-one was watching. Then I was discovered. But it was OK, they were for me after all.

Caught in the act

I got a round thing that I chomped up straight away, and some rope balls and toys that I really like to tug on and throw around and also a hard ball thing that makes a noise when I roll it. It has a softer thing around the outside of it. It was driving me mad trying to get to the ball but I finally managed to get my teeth into it and crack it open.

I also got to eat a Christmas dinner of turkey and vegetables, which I enjoyed a lot. And I also discovered that I like to eat satsumas. So, it was a very good Christmas time for me.

Homer and the sofa

I think there must be an easier way to get onto this sofa, but I can't remember how to do it.

I remembered! I love snoozing away on here, especially when there is a comfy person on here too.

Homer and chums

I'm still really enjoying going out for walks down the valley. Some afternoons have been quite bright and with the autumn leaves it all looks nice. I've been chasing balls and playing with my new frisbee, which I like to put in the river so my dad has to wade in and get it out. I've also been meeting up with some old friends and making some new ones too.

Homer's favourites of the week

This week I've been loving chasing tennis balls down the valley. I especially love it when I can get my teeth into them and chomp them up. The weather hasn't been very good, but I still like to go out. The river was very full after all the rain, so it was great fun to charge along through the water.

On TV I watched The secret life of dogs, which was quite entertaining. When I'm home alone I either look out of the window, to see if they are coming back, or I snuggle up in my bed and go to sleep.

Something I haven't been loving this week is being shut out of the living room. Luckily, that happens very rarely, but when it does I like to chew on the door, which I'm told is really naughty, but I still do it.

Homer's friend

I've been loving long walks this week in the autumn leaves. It's fun to share a stick with a friend.
