Homer's arrival

This is me when I first arrived at my new house. I had been on a really long journey from London, so I was a bit tired. I have a big frowny head because I wasn't too sure about what was going on, but I soon settled in. I loved my new toys and blankets and my little house in the kitchen.

Homer's girlfriend

I think I am quite rare in England, although there is another like me, but a female, that lives around the corner.  This is what she looks like:

Homer's pond

In my back garden there is a pond that belongs to me. I like to sit beside it and look out for cats and birds. I have to be careful with my toys, because sometimes they disappear into it and are never seen again (like my big yellow kong).

Homer's introduction

My name is Homer. Most people I meet think that I am a Bull Mastiff, but they are all wrong! I am 18 months old and I am a Boerboel. This is a breed that is originally from South Africa but I was born near London, and now I live in Cheshire. I am also known as a South African Mastiff. I was bred to be a farmer's dog and to guard the homestead. I love people, so I don't bark at them, but I hate birds and I detest cats, so if I see any I love to bark and chase them away from my house.

This is a picture of me when I was really quite little. I don't remember why I had such a sad face!
